NJHS volunteer in the YMCA Creepy Crawly Carnival!

YMCA K. L
National Junior Honor Society students volunteered on October 23rd-24th at the YMCA in Ladysmith for their annual “Creepy Crawly Carnival”.  NJHS students set up, worked all carnival games, greeted the community, participated in the creepy crawly house and cleaned up after the event. NJHS students collected over eighty hours of community service combined in two days!
Shout out to the YMCA, Business manager Mrs. Kristian Loecher. This event was awesome!

Several of our NJHS students have committed to mentoring 4th & 5th grade girls in Engineering, Math, and Science during the 2015-2016 school year.

They will assist in setting up, distributing material, and facilitating monthly meetings for the entire school year as positive role models. Good job members of the NJHS and advisor Mrs. Baker-Latney.
